Teaming for The Community Toy Store

December 20, 2019

Rooted Generosity recently joined with other Whatcom County friends to provide an exciting and celebratory event for local families.  Parents and caregivers facing challenge in providing the children in their care with Christmas gifts, were able to shop for holiday gifts.  Through the generosity of many, dignity was preserved as shoppers selected gifts from their children’s wish lists at 80% less than cost.

Revenue from the Toy Store is in turn donated to a wide range of community service providers.  In additions to gathering and donating toys, Rooted Generosity provided refreshments for hundreds of shoppers and their families, joined in staffing and stocking the store, and wrapped gifts with love.

One of the greatest gifts was hearing the heartfelt stories shared by shoppers and volunteers of deep gratitude and generosity. We are so thankful to all who donated merchandise, money for snacks, and gave of their time.  Together we continue to live forward Jordan's legacy of generously.

Rooted Generosity wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
